We started off the camping season with a mid-week stay at Edgewater Bar campground.
A short bike ride along the trail...
had us in Fort Langley every day.
Terry and Lovella joined us for two nights...
and Herb and Anneliese came for dinner one night.
Mexican taco salad with strawberry shortcake for dessert.
And appetizers, of course!
The geese came calling regularly...
but mostly stayed in the river.
We learned to play a new-to-us game.
Similar to Parcheezi...
or 'Mensch Arger Dich Nicht'.
Sunsets on the Fraser...
a good end to the day!
Maggie ran in the BC High School track meet at McCleod Stadium in Langley...
and we went to cheer her on.
Maggie's relay team took gold and she ran her personal best in the 800m.
She may not have graduated yet...
but went to grad with a friend.
Rosalyn Bosch married Mel Lising at Chilliwack Golf and Country Club.
Out with the old...and in with the new.
When we arrived home from our camping trip....
there was a new Tacoma in the garage.
We checked out the vintage car show in downtown Chilliwack one Sunday afternoon.
Lucy cleaned up on awards at Stitos this year...
pictured here with Jacob, her life-long neighbour and friend.
It was the final year of middle school for her. Off to high school in fall!
Maggie received the senior Grizzly of the year award at GW Graham...
second year in a row.
Lucy's soccer team did well!
We celebrated Mavis's retirement with Sunday lunch at the Airport Cafe with our care group...
and dessert and coffee on John and Marg's patio. Brynja decorated the DQ cake.
Sunday afternoon walks on the Rotary trail...followed by ice-cream at Kent's.
Our Canada flag (compliments of Chilliwack Rotary club) flies every year for Canada Day.
The corn was well above 'knee high by the first of July' this year. It was chest-high in may places.
