September corn harvest. The timing was perfect and the last of the corn came off the field on Monday, September 15th. We were leaving for Europe the following day, so it was busy until the last minute.
It was back-to-school for all the grands, except for Emme and Spencer. Ranen moved to Carey Hall and is attending UBC this year. Ryder is back at TWU and living in the dorm. The others are all in high school.
Lucy is joining Maggie at GW Graham this year (pictured here on the first day of school with her good friend Bella).
Dylan, Holly and Brynja are all at Unity Christian. Dylan and Maggie will both be graduating this year.
Such beautiful planters!
Our last stop before leaving for the airport was to drop off the garbage at the farm and give Johnny a treat!
And we are off to the Czech Republic...
...winging our way over the Chilcotin as the sun sets.
KLM was dealing with rotating strikes and our flight was delayed at YVR and again in Amsterdam. We arrived in Prague too late for our orientation meeting with our tour group, but met up with our tour guide Erica later that evening. We explored Prague for the next few days...
...and then carried on to Dresden, Berlin and Warsaw. On September 26th we arrived in Budapest and began the river cruise on the Danube the following day.
Thankful for the means, the health and the mobility to travel. It's a great big beautiful world and I am am thankful for all the places I have had the opportunity to visit.
