May

It's cropping time on the farm once again.


May 6, 2025. 


Mom's irises blooming along the rail fence...


...or gracing the dining table.


On Mother's Day we did our usual...
head out to a local lake with our gravity chairs and a bag of books and snacks. 


Hicks Lake for the win!


We went for evening walks at Cheam Wetlands a few times.

55 years ago we graduated from high school together...
best friends parting ways for the next chapter of our lives.

There has been a lot of 'water under the bridge' since then...
but having a 55th grad reunion cruise seemed like a good idea.

And it was!


We took the Amtrak train to Seattle...
from where we set sail for Alaska on the Grand Princess.


We reminisced, played a lot of Five Crowns, ate well, laughed a lot...
and soaked away the wrinkles.


We made up for lost time!


Ketchikan. 


That may have been our destination...
but it was more about doing the journey together than about where we landed!



After four lovely days on the cruise...
we docked at the pier in Vancouver.



We had a leisurely last breakfast together...
and then disembarked where we were met by Paul who chauffeured us to Langley.

Jeremy and Tim flew to Guadalajara one weekend to see Leo...
and deliver all his possessions that were left behind in Canada.
We hear it was a happy reunion!
